By accessing, registering for, or using any feature of Write Smarter ("the Platform", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms in their entirety, you must discontinue use of the Platform immediately.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Write Smarter.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use Write Smarter. If you are under 18, you represent that you have obtained consent from a parent or legal guardian. By using the Platform, you confirm that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
If you use Write Smarter on behalf of an institution or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
Write Smarter provides AI-assisted academic writing tools, including but not limited to: research paper generation, source retrieval from academic databases, citation formatting, AI humanization, AI detection scoring, a built-in document editor, and PDF interaction tools.
The Platform is provided as a writing and research assistance tool. It is not a substitute for your own academic judgment, critical thinking, or institutional guidance.
Write Smarter's outputs are generated by artificial intelligence. While the Platform is designed to produce accurate, source-grounded, and well-formatted academic content, AI output is not infallible. We strongly recommend that you review, verify, and where appropriate, supplement all generated content before submission.
Regarding the AI Humanization feature: Write Smarter's humanization layer is designed to restructure text to reduce AI-detection signals across major detection tools including Turnitin, GPTZero, ZeroGPT, and Reilla. However, humanization results are not guaranteed to achieve a passing score on every test, at all times, on every platform.
AI detection technology is constantly evolving. Detection thresholds, algorithms, and scoring methods change frequently and without notice — factors entirely outside Write Smarter's control. The humanization feature is built and tested against current detection standards and performs well in the vast majority of cases. However, no humanization system can provide an absolute guarantee of passing every detector under every condition.
By using the humanization feature, you acknowledge and accept that results may vary, and that Write Smarter makes no warranty that humanized content will pass any specific AI detection tool at the time of your submission.
You are solely and entirely responsible for how you use the content generated by Write Smarter. This includes, without limitation, compliance with your institution's academic integrity policies, honor codes, course requirements, and any applicable laws or regulations.
Write Smarter accepts no liability whatsoever for any academic consequence you experience as a result of submitting AI-generated content — including but not limited to: rejection of work, grade penalties, academic probation, disciplinary action, or expulsion.
It is your responsibility to understand and comply with the academic policies of your institution before using this Platform.
Write Smarter operates on a credit-based system. Credits are purchased on a one-time basis and do not expire.
All purchases are final and non-refundable. Once credits are purchased, they cannot be refunded, exchanged, or transferred under any circumstances, except where required by applicable law.
Write Smarter reserves the right to change credit pricing, credit bundle values, and the credit cost of any feature at any time and without prior notice. Credits already held in your account will not have their quantity affected by pricing changes.
Credits are non-transferable and may not be sold, gifted, or shared between accounts.
Write Smarter reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we determine — at our sole discretion — that you have violated these Terms, engaged in abusive behavior, or misused the Platform in any way.
Grounds for termination include but are not limited to:
Upon termination, any unused credits in your account are forfeited and will not be refunded. Write Smarter is not liable for any loss resulting from account termination.
You agree not to use Write Smarter to:
You retain ownership of the content and materials you submit to Write Smarter as inputs (e.g. instructions, uploaded files, rubrics).
Content generated by the Platform using your inputs is provided to you for personal, non-commercial academic use. You may not resell or redistribute generated content as a commercial product or service.
All Platform software, design, branding, pipelines, algorithms, and underlying technology are the exclusive intellectual property of Write Smarter. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to copy, reproduce, modify, or create derivative works of the Platform itself.
Write Smarter is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated content will be suitable for your specific academic, professional, or institutional requirements. You use the Platform entirely at your own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Write Smarter and its operators, affiliates, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Platform. This includes, without limitation:
In no event shall Write Smarter's total liability to you exceed the amount you paid for credits in the three (3) months preceding the claim.

Write Smarter may update these Terms at any time. When we do, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. Your continued use of the Platform following any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically. We are not obligated to provide individual notice of changes.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Philippines.
